I can't combine some of my PDF files but I don't know why. Sometimes the filename is saved, but when I try to open it I'm told the file is corrupt.

If you have issues with the application, then I recommend you update the printer driver using the downloads from the official website. Beside drivers, you also have the option to download and install the latest version of the application.
Note: If the PDF files you want to combine are security protected, then that's the cause to the issue. You will need PDF files that have all the security features removed.
